Ready to Inspire Your Audience?
Beyond the Visual: the Man Behind the Story
I offer motivational talks for schools and organizations, sharing my experience as a legally blind artist and a unique perspective behind my work.
Why Choose Me?
My portfolio consists of motivational speaking for various demographics. From students within public schools to educational institutions across the GTA, my talks challenge the idea of exceptionalities and disabilities, ableism, while disabling barriers. My sessions tackle real-world ideologies and frameworks which enable audiences to reimagine inclusion, universal design, human abilities and success.
What I Offer
-
Youth & Schools: When speaking to educational institutions, I showcase my art and my story to demonstrate perseverance. Encouraging confidence, self-worth, and resilience. Showing students the limitations of ableism and of barriers presented to students, strengthening inclusion, self-worth, and sending the message that the barriers students face do not define them.
-
Ableism 101: In my dialogues regarding Ableism, I workshop what ableism is, where it can occur, what it looks like and how to disable it, opening honest conversations around disability, inclusion, and breaking down misconceptions.
-
My Story: As a legally blind illustrator, there is certainly an elephant in the room that needs to be addressed. I share my life experience and abilities with my audience, connecting them to showcase my success and help them believe in the seemingly impossible. A powerful reflection on adversity, growth, and redefining success.
-
Artist Inspiration: These workshops lean into my teaching experience and highlight my drawing techniques, my sources of inspiration, what drives me to create, my thinking, and my curiosities when engaging in art as a legally blind illustrator. This experience offers an inside gateway into my process, techniques and strategies on how I tackle drawing. Exploring how art and creativity can be a source of calm, empowerment and motivation.
